Hmmm - Impressive. I'm a sucker for detail and the heads in the pool are fun (in *that* kind of way)! I love the strong feeling of character this picture gives off. The dog and cat are very symbolic, do they represent the suited man and the woman. Is it fight broken up?

It's not really. The two men that are being pulled by the hair are lovers of the one in the middle-- the piece is mainly a control piece, and though the two hate each other, there's nothing they can really do because, no matter how helpless and feminine and somber the middle guy is, he's still the one who's in control. I made a lot of decisions about facial expression in this and chose to keep swallow expressionless, but you can see clear tension in his hands.

That should at least clear up the relationship between the characters, though if you see something different, i'm glad. Any interpretation is a good one, ne. ^~^

^^ Although a clear meaning is nice - allowing the public to consider different aspects is a true skill. I've always subscribed to the idea that, as soon as someone else sees it, a piece is no longer yours. Due to personal experiences and personal ideals and beliefs, it is impossible, in my opinion, for 2 people to think the same way, 100%, on a piece. Therefore, when people usually ask me what it means, I can't really say-- because, though I can tell someone what this piece means to me, as the artist, whatever I say could very well be wrong to the person viewing it, because they've lived a different life in this world.

There's no such thing as a clear concise meaning. Even if it was spelled out, interpretation of words is even different.
