ZOMBOID is the companion piece to FILTH in my gallery. They are a set. Sister pieces if you will. Link to Filth gor comparison purposes: [link]
Media: India ink, rapidographs, Masking fluid (for the "goo"), watercolor, and revlon pigmented lip gloss.
Size: 16 x 20 inches or so...
The lyrics on the wall and on the floor are ZOMBOID by Dir en Grey. If you care, look it up. I used Centigrade-J's translation. If you're under the age of 30, you probably shouldn't go looking for it. The lyrics on the wall, in the original, aren't as obscured as they are here, but I do sort of like it. As opposed to Filth which sort of has an organized psychotic repetition to the alignment of the characters on the wall, this is far more uncontrolled, spastic, and random. I think the beauty of this is how spontaneous it actually is and how dirty it really looks.
I put all of my self into this.
I put all of my focus into this.
I put all of my energy into this.
And I think that's reflected in it quite well. Don't you?
The scan gave it a green tint that I toned down a little, but ultimately kept. It makes it seem a little more ill. A little more sick... A little more diseased. Otherwise, the values are pretty close to the original.
The non-white text on the walls is actually a texture. It's slightly sticky to the touch and it's raised. Guess what it's supposed to be?
Full view is a must for this piece. Please check that out. Sorry for the enormous size of the file, but I saved it large to show off the details. I hope you enjoy it. Comments and favs are greatly appreciated.
*wow*. i read the description by the way. i love the... depth you have in the tie of your characters. the emotion in this piece. the... the talent you have with your media.
