the first chunk of 4% :: the sanctity of the corner crawler.

the text at the end is supposed to be pretty much barely legible, but it's the start of the intro for the marauders that Xiao tells (hence why it's in his horrible handwriting). the story goes ::

"Once upon a time, in the safety of numbers, a prince chose a lover based on the whims of a bastard bloodline. He asked the opinion of the witches, but they witheld their tongues, drawing nails across the cauldron and leaving fair skin black. He asked the opinion of the wolves, but they gave no answer, howling for the rabbits in the hills and lapping at wounded heels. When he asked the marauders, they said they saw nothing, and he knew he'd chosen wrongly. Between the fore of the first and hind's second sight, everyone lost, in the end."

:clap: i love it a ton!! and i love the language you write with, very poetic. i understand the style is supposed to be scrawly and bastard-cursive... but the end part was SO hard to read, at least for me. it may just be me, but if more people comment on it you might want to put a little more body to the letters (basically more "bubbly") just for the sake of legibility.

damn. the website is ingenious in the fact that after you click "be" you read the pages as they go, and then you click words to the next page. it's interactive.
